Psychotherapy
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”– Henry David Thoreau
This is what I do, help others achieve the life they have imagined. As a psychotherapist with decades of experience, I’ve come to appreciate the arduous and challenging journey that each of us must take through life. For us to have the life that is ours, the one we “imagined” when we were young, and to let go of the parts of our lives that have become unbalanced, there is much work to do. It has been my privilege to accompany clients on this exquisitely personal journey, holding the lantern that lights the way ahead and sharing in their struggle to have an invigorated life.
Many people entering psychotherapy are having problems with their relationships. Relationships are the most challenging thing we do. Our relationships are frequently the most important, the most emotionally provocative, the most frustrating, and the most rewarding part of our lives. My intention as a psychotherapist is to help clients achieve awareness, consciousness, courage, and the ability to make new, more effective and satisfying choices within themselves and within their relationships.
What I bring to my client’s journey is authenticity, empathy, honesty, expertise, warmth, knowledge, integrity, compassion, respect, a lack of judgment, and within all of this serious work, humor. With many year’s experience in this very personal and intimate work, I join my clients in a mutual relationship that is focused on their well-being.
